Martingale adjustable collars have a buckle with a fixed and running keeper. This collar opens up fully to adjust so there is no worry of how large your dogs head is when ordering. If you have more than one dog then there is a possibility you could use this on either dog (if similar size) as there is more range in size with the buckle and holes to adjust than the basic martingale collar. 
 
These collars must NOT be left on a dog, they are only for supervised walk/exercise.
